Police Officers Stationed at UNILAG Gate to Prevent Students Protest over ASUU Strike

The students of the UNILAG might not be
able to protest over the current ASUU
strike that has been on for a while now.
The Federal Govt. has taken drastic steps
to prevent anything like a protest
happening within and outside the
premises of the University of Lagos.
If we can recall, the students of UNILAG
once took to the streets and blocked the
third mainland bridge at one point when
they protested sometime in May 2012
over the change of the name of the
Institution to Moshood Abiola University
which didn’t seem to go down well with
the students of the institution. Based on
this, the Federal Govt. has placed
preventive measures as the students
have been set to be preparing to protest
over the prolonged strike.
