A 12-year-old Nigerian girl has exposed her church pastor who took her virginity by drugging and raping her after promising to heal her. The girl who said she was experiencing hearing difficulties approached Rev Sampson Otisi of the Rhema Ministries church in Abagana, Njikoka local government area of Anambra state for healing.
Otisi started giving her one-on-one healing sessions after regular church services and on one occasion put anointing oil on her and in the process of rubbing it over her abdomen began fingering her. The victim promptly objected to his invasive style of healing but pastor Otisi threatened to stop the healing process he had started if she did not allow him to continue. He then lured the helpless virgin believer to a hotel room where he forced her to consume a drink that made her pass out before having his wicked way with her. The accused repeatedly raped the girl through the night. She told the Abagana magistrate's court that after her hymen broke and she started bleeding she wept and begged him to stop but he ignored her pleas. He later abandoned her in an unconscious state the following morning when hotel staff found and rescued her. The victim was so badly bruised after the ordeal that she had to be physically aided to get to court. The accused man of God who is alleged to have been previously charged with defiling an8-year-old girl allegedly offered the girl's parents the sum of N500,000 to settle out of court but would not comment on the matter. However, his counsel Barrister C. C. Achi told the Daily Post newspaper that his client was set-up by people who had a land dispute with him.
