NIGERIAN BILLIONAIRE INVESTS $400 MILLION IN KENYAN CEMENT PRODUCTION

Nigerian entrepreneur and Africa's
wealthiest man Mr Aliko Dangote
(pictured) is to establish a cement
plant in Kenya costing $400 Million.
Dangote whose group of companies
include Dangote Cement
(DANGCEM.LG) signed the deal during
a bi-lateral business tour of Kenya with
president Goodluck Jonathan.
According to Reuters news agency, the
Kenyan presidency has confirmed the
deal. No further details were released
but it will be recalled that Mr Dangote
previously announced plans to spread
to Cameroun, Ethiopia, Zambia,
Tanzania, Senegal and South Africa.
Dangote Cement is the largest cement
producer in Africa and is expected to
expand its pan-African production
capacity to 55 million tons by 2016.
