BOKO HARAM DENIES ATTACK ON YOBE STUDENTS MASSACRE AS CEASEFIRE DEAL IS SEALED WITH FEDERAL GOVERNMENT

Boko Haram have denied responsibility for last Saturday's brutal
and cold blooded massacre of some forty students and a
teacher as Nigeria Federal Government announced that it has
finally signed a ceasefire deal with a faction of the Islamist
insurgents.

This announcement was made by the Minister of Special Duties,
Alhaji Tanimu Turaki Monday afternoon.
This as Britain plans to enact a law prohibiting association with
Boko Haram and UK based Minbar Ansar Deen.

Theresa May, the British Home Secretary asked that the two
extremist Islamic Organisations be banned under terrorism laws.
Some months ago, a faction of Boko Haram announced it was
renouncing violence but that was short-lived as Mohamed
Shekau's main group insisted it was pressing with its violent Jihad
of Islamization.

Meanwhile, Alhaji Mala Othman the Borno state chairman of the
All Nigeria People’s Party (ANPP) is in custody for his alleged
sponsorship of Boko Haram. This was confirmed by the Joint Task
Force (JTF), codenamed Operation Restore Order in Borno.
Othman’s house was set ablaze by youth vigilance group a week
ago in Maiduguri.

Lieutenant-Colonel Sagir Musa, the JTF spokesman in Borno told
the press that Othman’s involvements with Boko Haram would be
made public once investigations were concluded.
Imam Muhammadu Marwana, an influential individual in Boko
Haram confirmed the ceasefire deal the terrorist group has
signed with the Federal Government to end their gruesome
activities across Northern Nigeria.

Since 2009, thousands of lives have been lost and properties
worth billions of Naira destroyed by the illegal sect. Imam
Muhammadu said,” We are seeking forgiveness from the people
over the number of people killed in the country. I appeal to those
who lost their loved ones to our activities to forgive us and on
our side we have forgiven all those who committed atrocities
against us.

I want to state clearly that we have no hands in the unfortunate
attack on the secondary school (Government Secondary School,
Mamudo, Yobe State).”
