Ongoin strike in Nigeria

Sa'adu Salisu the Honourable Minister said: We do not like the strike action going on in the Polytechnics, or any other educational institution in the country. It is not in anybody’s interest at all. When there are issues to resolve, we believe that parties should go on with academic activities while resolution is being worked on. We are in discussion with ASUP, the academic staff. We will have meeting with ASUP on Monday after which we hope the strike will be called off. But we learnt that other unions have joined the strike action. We are also working with other unions in a way that everybody would realise that we should not be disrupting school calendar by embarking on strike action.
