Guber race: Anambra business forum endorses Ifeanyi Ubah

Prominent Anambra State businessmen
and elders based in Abuja rose from a five-
hour strategic meeting and unanimously
endorsed Dr. Ifeanyi Uba as the best
candidate for the November 2013 Anambra
governorship election, stressing that he
holds the magic wand to move the state
forward.
Addressing the media after the meeting,
which had a retinue of prominent
businessmen like Sir Young Obiaga, Edwin
Ojukwu, Daniel Ofojetu, Emma Okoli, and
Barrister Onyeka D. Ofojetu, among others
in attendance, the forum promised to
mobilize all the natives of Anambra State in
FCT to throw their weight behind the CEO
of Capital Oil and Gas Industries Limited.
While reading the communiqué, the chief
convener, Young Obiaga, said after a
brainstorming session on the theme,
“Strategic Programme for the Development
and Progress of the Anambra State”, the
forum agreed that the Oil magnet has the
best blueprint to turn the State around.
His words: “After our deliberation, all the
prominent Anambra State businessmen
and elders based in Abuja unanimously
adopted Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah as the best
candidate for the 2013 governorship race.
We also agreed that we will not leave any
stone unturned in ensuring that our true
son, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah, becomes the next
governor of Anambra State.”
Speaking further, the forum, explained: “We
based our choice of Dr. Uba on the fact
that he is the person to take the State to an
enviable position in the country. Anambra,
at this point, needs a focus man with
vision, a man with the fear of God and a
man who has the interest of the masses at
heart to move the state forward. Dr Uba is
the best candidate to fit it all these.”
Reiterating the trust and confidence the
forum reposed on Dr. Ubah, Sir Obiaga
further revealed that they would not stop
only at the endorsement, assuring that they
would mobilize all the indigenes of the
State to storm home and sensitize the
voters to support Dr. Uba’s
candidacy. “With the laudable achievements
he has recorded, we will not only stop as
at this endorsement but would go a step
further in mobilizing all the natives of
Anambra State to travel home and sensitize
the voters,” the forum emphasized.
Enumerating his achievements, the forum
noted: “Ubah is a man of action, an oil
magnate, a businessman who has truly
demonstrated his leadership acumen in
Lagos State. He has equally demonstrated
his love for Igbo traders especially when
His Excellency, the Executive Governor of
Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola (SAN),
closed down Ladipo market in Lagos. Dr.
Ubah singlehanded resolved the problem.
“Again, our choice of Dr. Ubah was borne
out of the conviction of the works he has
done and the lives he has touched in
Anambra State and the country in general.
Dr. Ubah has made tremendous
contribution to the development of the
State in various humanitarian services like
provision of free medical treatment to the
people, award of scholarship to
Anambrians and provision of employment
to the masses.
“His company Capital Oil and Gas
Industries Limited provides employment to
over 7,000 persons. He has constructed
roads and bridges in the community. To
crown it, he sent private jet to the volatile
Northern part of Nigeria during the Boko
Haram crisis to convey the Igbos back
home,” the forum added.
